The Story Behind the Name: Indus
The name Indus is an Homage to Rishi’s Indian and South Asian heritage.
Indus is the English name for the Sindh River, which flows through today’s northeast Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northwestern India. It was the home to the Indus Valley Civilisation. For you history nerds: they developed the first known written language, are one of the oldest surviving intact cultures, invented the zero (0), Mindfulness, yoga, and the art of being present.
Modern life doesn’t always meet important parts of our evolutionary, biological and social needs. Early humans definitely had sleep Hygiene, physical, and a small community focus worked out.
Indus is also involved in philanthropic work behind the scenes, delivering pro bono community seminars, trainings and bulk-billed therapy for disadvantaged families.
